ExoMiner Wiki

Getting started: first steps

Mara lands on an alien planet. She fights the creatures there, her drone mines ore, and both keep going even when you are not playing. This page shows the first steps.

The first minutes

  1. Switch on “Fight” at the bottom. Mara then attacks the zone's enemies on her own. The switch stays the way you set it, even when you travel.
  2. Switch on “Mining”. The drone mines the zone's deposits or salvages wrecks. When a deposit is empty it bursts and throws out 10 % of its stock as a bonus; a new one grows somewhere else.
  3. The top shows how many enemies the zone still needs. Once you have enough, the zone is cleared and the portal on the right leads to the next one.
  4. Your next task is shown at the top left. Each one pays Credits, some also Exos.
  5. The portal on the left takes you back to the base. There you tap buildings, such as the refinery or the Supply Office.

The first zones

You start in the zone Landing Zone. This is how many kills each zone needs, and what you can mine there:

#ZoneKillsMining
1Landing Zone300Wreck · Salvage level 1
2Old Shafts350Copper Ore · Drill level 1
3Swarm Grounds400Tin Ore · Drill level 1
4Armor Slope450Kaverite · Drill level 2
5Shard Ridge500Lumen Crystal · Drill level 2
6Drill Beetle Burrow600Wreck · Salvage level 2

Crystals need a better drill than ore. If your drill is too weak, the drone mines nothing there. All zones

While you are away

ExoMiner catches up on up to 12 hours of absence. Mara always fights during that time, and the drone keeps mining if “Mining” is on. You get 50 % of the Credits and materials, up to 70 % with better gear and drones.
